sedation for our dental procedures. I.V. sedation can
be performed quite painlessly and involves an injection
in your arm. During the dental procedure, we will use
equipment to monitor your blood pressure, heart rate and
pulse.
Unlike unconscious sedation, which is usually performed in a hospital, conscious sedation is more like a deep relaxation than a deep sleep. Intravenous sedation is administered directly into the blood stream, and its effects can be felt almost instantaneously. After your procedure, you will need a family member or friend to drive you home, so be sure to plan ahead.
